Brittany has over two decades of experience in performing family history research in the United States.
She has interned for the National Archives in Washington, DC working under the direction of an archivist on genealogy research for authors and others seeking assistance. She also proofed US Census records on microfilm prior to public release and created organizational tools for record groups, a record group is a large collection of one type of record (i.e. 1930 US Census, WW I Draft Registration Cards, etc.). While in the Washington, DC area, she spent over a year working on a large research project involving the Civil War military, medical, and pension records both at the National Archives and at the National Records Center.
She has had the incredible opportunity of taking family history courses in both United States and Danish research through Brigham Young University.
From 2006-2014 and 2015 to the present, she has been an officer and a member of the board of directors for the Propionic Acidemia Foundation. She has presented at conferences, written educational materials, developed materials, reviewed grant applications, and co-authored several peer reviewed articles on Propionic Acidemia.
